The Sustainable Practice Toolkit

A practical toolkit for health professionals, including the Roadmap and consultation tools such as a Symptom and Stress Map. and a guide to language.

Course Summary

The Sustainable Consultation Toolkit is a practical, self-paced resource designed to support more sustainable, relational consultations within the realities of everyday practice.

At its core is a 60-page Field Guide, offering a clear and accessible map for working with complexity, uncertainty, and persistent symptoms. This is accompanied by four downloadable consultation tools that can be used in real time to support sense-making, shared understanding, and next steps.

Alongside these, you’ll find simple guidance on how to begin using the tools in your own setting — whether in a 10-minute GP consultation, a longer therapeutic conversation, or work across community and third-sector contexts.

This toolkit is designed to bring structure, language, and confidence to the work you are already doing, through small, realistic shifts that support both you and your patients to flourish.

Rather than something to complete, it is intended as a resource to return to over time.
