The Reading Room is the membership space within the Wild-Ness Learning Library, the online learning home of Wild-Ness Health. It is designed for health professionals and those working across care, third sector and community settings who want practical learning, thoughtful resources and a wider community asking similar questions about how care can be more human, equitable and sustainable. It is the wider home of the Roadmap to Sustainable Practice and the Four Seasons of Learning: a place to return to ideas, deepen understanding and build confidence at your own pace. Whether you are looking for fresh thinking, practical consultation tools, reflective learning or steadier ways of working, the Reading Room is designed to fit around the realities of everyday professional life.
A gentle rhythm of learning
The Reading Room is more than a library of resources. It offers a steady monthly rhythm of learning, reflection and connection. Each month includes:
Letters from the Library
A monthly letter shared at first light, with seasonal reflections and updates on what is new in the library.
Reading Room Check-In (members only)
A live lunchtime gathering on the first Wednesday of each month, 1.00 to 1.30pm, offering space to pause, reflect and reconnect with the work.
Open Stacks
A free monthly drop-in on the first Thursday of each month, open to all health professionals. A relaxed space to ask questions, explore ideas and see how the work might fit your own practice.
Written learning library
Membership also includes ongoing access to: all written courses and learning resources practical tools and downloadable materials the Roadmap to Sustainable Practice a digital Seasonal Learning Logbook for reflection and appraisal new bite-sized learning added regularly a growing body of thoughtful resources to return to over time The aim is not information overload, but learning that is practical, grounded and usable in real settings.
Who it is for
The Reading Room is for health professionals and those working across health, care, third sector and community settings who want learning that is relational, realistic and sustainable. This may include GPs, hospital doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, psychologists, link workers, health coaches, managers, educators and community practitioners. The diversity of roles is part of what brings richness to the conversations, offering fresh perspectives across traditional boundaries.

Founding Member Rate
£10 per month
Available until 21 June while the library is in its founding phase.
Standard Membership
£20 per month
From 22 June, reflecting the completion of the full Four Seasons of Learning and the continued growth of the library with new monthly content.

Optional next step: Seasonal Gatherings
Members also have the option to book places in the Seasonal Gatherings: small live facilitated evening spaces co-hosted by Dr Kath Jones and Dr Jo Hacking.
Held on the first Thursday evening of each month, these gatherings follow the themes of the Four Seasons of Learning and offer a deeper space for reflection, discussion and applying the work in practice. Places are limited to support depth of conversation and connection.
