Meet the Librarian

Bespoke support to bring whole-person care into everyday practice

Bringing whole-person care into everyday practice

Whole-person care can make sense in principle while still being difficult to integrate into the realities of everyday work.

Meet the Librarian offers bespoke one-to-one support to help you explore the concepts and tools of whole-person practice within your own role, setting and sphere of influence.

This is not a generic coaching programme. It is a practical and reflective session shaped around the opportunities, questions or challenges you bring.

Choose the toolkit that fits your work

There are three versions of the Whole-Person Practice Toolkit, reflecting the three pathways through the Wild-Ness Health approach.

Clinical Care
For health professionals seeking to integrate sense-making, recovery and greater patient agency into everyday consultations and clinical practice.

Leadership & Change
For those exploring how leadership, relationships and workplace culture can create the conditions for greater safety, autonomy and collaboration.

Community Support
For people working across services, organisations and communities who want to strengthen agency, connection and meaningful participation.

You can choose the pathway that most closely reflects your role, or we can identify the most useful starting point together.

Your first session

The initial 90-minute session creates space to:
  -  explore what you would like to understand or change
  -  consider what may be supporting or hindering this
  -  identify the concepts and tools most relevant to your situation
  -  adapt them to the realities of your everyday work
  -  develop meaningful and manageable next steps

You will receive the relevant version of the Whole-Person Practice Toolkit, together with a personalised integration plan to guide what happens next.

This includes:
  -  a short preparatory reflection
  -  a 90-minute individual online session with Dr Kath Jones
  -  your chosen Whole-Person Practice Toolkit

Further sessions can be arranged if you would value ongoing support, but there is no expectation or commitment beyond the initial session.

Meet Dr Kath Jones

Kath is a GP, educator and founder of Wild-Ness Health. Her work brings together clinical experience, medical leadership, professional education and trauma-informed practice.

She developed the Whole-Person Practice Toolkit to help health professionals bridge the gap between understanding whole-person care and applying it within the complexity of everyday healthcare.

Is this for me?

Meet the Librarian may be helpful if you:

  -  understand the principles of whole-person care but are unsure how to apply them
  -  feel stuck with a recurring situation or pattern
  -  want to approach clinical care, leadership or community work differently
  -  are developing an idea, service or learning programme
  -  would value protected space to think with someone who understands the realities of healthcare

You do not need to arrive with a clearly defined goal. Sometimes the most useful starting point is simply knowing that something needs to change.
