What to expect
The Reading Room is a relaxed online conversation for health professionals from across the health and care system who are interested in exploring new approaches to healthcare.
Rather than a webinar or teaching session, there are no slides, no presentation and no fixed agenda. It is a space to ask questions, reflect on recent Letters from the Library, share experiences from practice and explore the practical wisdom and relational skills needed to reimagine modern healthcare.
You do not need to be a Learning Library member to join. Whether you work in clinical care, leadership, community settings or elsewhere across the system, you are very welcome.
Your host
Dr Kath Jones is an NHS GP and founder of Wild-Ness Health. She curates the Wild-Ness Learning Library and writes the monthly Letters from the Library, drawing together ideas from clinical practice, research, leadership, community and everyday life.
She also convenes The Sustainable Healer, a biennial gathering for health professionals, and is developing Creating the Conditions for Health, a 12-month CPD programme launching in spring 2027.
Why “The Reading Room”?
The Learning Library is the online home of Wild-Ness Health — a growing collection of letters, reflective resources, practical tools and opportunities to learn together.
The Reading Room is its open door: a free monthly space to meet, exchange perspectives and explore the practical wisdom and relational skills needed to reimagine modern healthcare.
From here, you can explore the Library’s online resources or, if you want to go further, discover Wild-Ness Health’s 1:1 mentoring, professional development programmes and in-person gatherings.
